Smart Textile XL

Our Smart Textile is used for various medical devices in healthcare, such as FlipProne system, heel protectors, hospital bed sheets, body positioning wedges and operating tables. With Smart Fabric XL, we can measure, record and transmit real-time information about the patient’s weight, heart rate, body temperature, movement position and several other information to the electronic health record. We have developed different types of sensors in the fabric, including accelerometer sensors. LSB sensors can detect body posture and patient motions. We use Plastic Optical Fiber (POF) and built-in sensors, processors and a Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller in the Smart textile. POF and Sensors are placed within the interior of the fabric along key body parts in need to monitor the posture of the patient.
